Elections and Voting Information
Local elections are held each year on the first Tuesday in April. National elections are held in November. The Town Hall serves as the polling place for residents of Lakeside and located at 3196 South Poplar River Road. The Polls are open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on all election days.
Voter Registrations can be done at any time including when you come to vote. If you have not voted previously in Lakeside, or it has been a long time since you voted, you will have to register before you can vote. Registration takes only a couple minutes but you must bring along documents to prove your residency and identity. You may use your driver's license, identification card, or a utility bill for this purpose. Please allow extra time to register and vote on election day. All voters must present identification before they can be allowed to vote so be sure to have your ID card or driver's license handy when you arrive at the Polling Place.
